Rolling Stone reviews 3 video
After teasing fans with 15-second clips on her Twitter yesterday, Britney Spears finally revealed the video for her Hot 100-topping single "3," the new track that will feature on her upcoming The Singles Collection. You’d expect the video for a song about threesomes to be Rated-X, but Spears keeps things borderline tasteful with the "3" vid, busting out some suggestive dance moves that are nowhere near as racy as the lyrics to "If U Seek Amy."
Instead, Spears and her cadre of dancers go the "Single Ladies" route by scaling back on sets and simply dancing in front of white and gray backgrounds. It's not Britney's best (it's nowhere near her "Slave 4 U" clip), but we haven't seen her dancing with this much conviction since the In the Zone era.
Considering that today marks the two-year anniversary of Blackout, as Spears' official Website points out, it’s clear Britney's dance skills are getting back on track. (We’d love to forget her stripper pole-hugging performance in the "Gimme More" video - as well as her half-hearted moves on her recent Circus tour.) And this makes it a perfect time to look back at the Blackout album covers we'd like to see.
The Federline Brothers Are Halloween Happy
So sweet! Kevin Federline took his two adorable boys, Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, to the Pierce College Pumpkin Patch in Canoga Park, Calif. on Thursday (October 29). Sean and Jayden were all smiles on the miniature train ride and carousel. Before picking out their perfect pumpkins with daddy, the brothers had a great time climbing the mountain stacks of hay.
We just saw the boys with mama Britney Spears going to the movies. The 27-year-old Womanizer singer is about to start up her "Circus" tour again next week. The pop star is due to hit the stage in Perth, Australia on November 6.

Black out turns 2
Britney's 5th studio album Blackout turns 2 today. How things can change in such a little period of time. Britney turned her life around completely for the better. As amazing as Blackout is, it'll forever be remembered as the dark era when everything went wrong. The album's tittle now makes full sense.

Director Diane Martel "3"Videoshoot
The director of the video for Britney Spears' single "3" tells Life & Style exclusively how the steamy sequence came together.
"I think it's her next sexy video," says director Diane Martel. "It's a very simple video for her -- I don't think you've seen her this much under a magnifying glass. Everything's really strong and playful."
Britney helped with the look of the video, too. "We collaborated on the wardrobe and had meetings about hair and makeup people," reveals Martel. "We talked a lot on the phone and met Tone and Rich — two of the best choreographers."
Martel says Britney was great to work with. "She's so sweet and funny and so normal and down to earth. It's really fun as a director to see her in front of the camera. She's so creative with this stuff. The video is very simple, it's very, very minimal. So it's her, her, her. And she's totally engaging every second. She really knows how to work with a camera and move.
"I was really impressed, and I have worked almost with every female artist in the business," Martel adds.
Britney herself is excited about the results, posting on Twitter, "It's gonna be hot!"

Madonna On Britney Spears
Britney Spears was featured in a video clip during "Human Nature" in your Sticky & Sweet show. She's stuck in an elevator and starts to go crazy. Is that how you analogize what's happened in her career?
Yes. Didn't that explain what I thought? "I'm not your bitch, don't hang your shit on me." I just think people should mind their own business and let her grow up. I think everyone goes off the deep end at one time or another, and she, like Michael Jackson, didn't really have a childhood, so there are some inherent problems in that scenario. I have a lot of compassion for her, and I hope that she can find balance in her life. I don't know how bad her meltdown was. One can't believe everything one reads.

Britney Voted Best Celebrity Mom
BRITNEY SPEARS’ comeback is complete – she has topped a new poll to find the best celebrity mum.
The Toxic superstar lost custody of her two sons after her public meltdown in 2008, but gained shared custody with ex Kevin Federline after she proved to the courts she had cleaned up her act.
And the singer’s fans have obviously noticed Spears’ efforts – she received a mammoth 74 per cent share of the vote in a new poll by U.K. company Park Christmas Saving to find the best mother in showbusiness.
Following in second place is Spears’ childhood rival, Christina Aguilera, who pulled in 12 per cent of the votes, while mother-of-six Angelina Jolie was in third.
Late British reality TV star Jade Goody and mum-of-one Katie Holmes were awarded the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Other famous matriarchs in the top ten include Madonna, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham

Britney #1 Billboard
Britney Spears becomes the first artist in over three years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (Oct. 15), as "3" opens at the pinnacle of the chart. Her new track, a racy paean to the joys of three-way sex from the upcoming hits set "The Singles Collection," due Nov. 24, shifts 255,000 downloads in its first week of release, also propelling it to No. 1 on Digital Songs. The title also jumps 38-25 on the Pop Songs chart and debuts at No. 49 on Radio Songs/Hot 100 Airplay, which ranks songs based on airplay audience on all radio formats.
"3" is the first title to debut at No. 1 since Taylor Hicks' "American Idol" victory song "Do I Make You Proud" did so on the chart dated July 1, 2006. In fact, the last four songs to open at No. 1 were all "American Idol"-related. Prior to Hicks, Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" (July 2, 2005), "I Believe" by Fantasia (July 10, 2004) and Clay Aiken's "This Is The Night" each debuted at No. 1. The last non-"Idol" song to open at No. 1 was Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" on Nov. 14, 1998. "3" is Spears' third Hot 100 No. 1. Her debut single "...Baby One More Time" spent two weeks at No. 1 in 1999 and "Womanizer" spent a sole frame at the top, exactly one year ago this week, on the chart dated Oct. 25, 2008.

Britney Takes Jason For A Ride
Britney became the driving force behind her relationship with agent Jason Trawick yesterday, getting back behind the wheel to take him for a drive in her Mercedes.
Friday, the couple looked thrilled to be back in each other's company, looking "flirty" and "cuddly" together on the way to the mall, but yesterday seemed a bit more tense between the two.
Maybe it's because they just got back together, and Brit's already getting to leave for Australia for the final leg of her tour next month!

Britney Fights to get her kids back
Britney Spears is to launch a bid to regain full custody of her children in time for Christmas.
The pop star, who has suffered mental breakdowns, will start proceedings to bring her two young sons home after playing the final date of her eight-month world tour next month.
Britney is supported by her father Jamie, who is still in charge of her financial affairs.
A source close to the singer said yesterday: “He believes she’s ready and his support is likely to carry weight with the judge.”
Only months ago, Los Angeles Superior Court awarded Britney, 27, temporary joint custody of Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, this allowed her to take them with her on the European leg of her tour and the source added: “Jamie is convinced that having the boys travel with her has given Britney the strength to be successful again.”
Federline, 31, is unlikely to oppose Britney’s legal bid, according to a friend of his yesterday, “as long as he is granted full visitation rights”.
The friend added: “Like her parents, he’s been impressed by Britney’s incredible comeback.”
She has bounced back from an 18-month “meltdown” which twice landed her in hospital psychiatric units, as well as rehab, last year.
Britney is expected to earn £22million this year, according to Forbes Magazine, and is named as 13th on a “world’s most-powerful celebrity” list, which she had previously dropped off.
Jamie Spears may also be ready to relinquish his financial control. She is likely to continue to pay Federline £25,000 a month for staff when Sean and Jayden visit.

Katie Price Threatens 'To Do A Britney'
FURIOUS Katie Price has hit back at reports she's gone mental by threatening to "do a Britney" and shave her head.
The model’s outburst came hours after she whacked photographers with a brolly – just like the superstar singer did during her infamous breakdown.
And she was so angry at suggestions she’d flipped that she told her stylist she was tempted to give her critics “what they want” and cut off all her hair.
Britney Spears, 27, famously shocked her fans in 2007 with a bizarre meltdown in which she shaved her own head before smashing a snapper’s car with her umbrella. Weeks later she was sectioned.
Kate, alias Jordan, hurled her brolly at the photo- graphers on Thursday in a Brighton car park.
And when she read media reports she was suffering her own breakdown, she told make-up artist Gary Cockerill: “Let’s just give them what they want and shave my head.
“Now I know how Britney felt – they’re all after me. No wonder she had a breakdown.”
“I am being treated the same as her so I may as well look the same.”
Gary, 40, who has worked with 31-year-old Kate since she was 16, knew the model’s request wasn’t serious but told pals: “Kate is really low right now.”
Kate’s outburst came after a tough few months for the star, which have seen her popularity dwindle since her split from husband Peter Andre, 36.

3 to Rocket onto Next Week’s Billboard Hot 100
Also notable on Pop Songs is the debut at No. 38 for Britney Spears’ “3.” The song is Spears’ 24th career entry, most among all artists since she first arrived with “…Baby One More Time” on the chart dated Oct. 24, 1998.
With “3″ topping iTunes’ sales chart following its digital release Oct. 6, expect the song to rocket onto next week’s Billboard Hot 100. Spears’ second hits set, “The Singles Collection,” arrives Nov. 24.
“3″ is only the second title to grace Pop Songs whose title consists solely of a single digit. Prince’s “7″ hit No. 3 in 1993.

Jordin Sparks Talks About Touring With Britney
In a new interview with Digital Spy, Jordin Sparks talks about how it was like to tour with Britney!
You've just finished supporting Britney on tour. How did that go?
"Great! Before one of the very last shows, I got to chat with Britney and say thank you for having me on the tour. She told me she really liked my show, which was cool to hear. I didn't have chance to hang out with her too much because she's Britney and she's always doing something, but I bumped into her a few times and she was always really sweet. And of course she killed it onstage! Her production's just crazy with all the dancers and contortionists and aerialists. It's an amazing spectacle to watch."

Britney Spears was the biggest of the teen pop stars to emerge in the late 1990s. However, by the middle of the following decade it seemed her musical career may have drowned in a mass of bad publicity and personal difficulties. Britney Spears then put together one of the most phenomenal comebacks in pop music history and is more commercially and critically successful than ever before. In the past decade she has released 16 top 40 pop singles, five #1 albums and is, at the age of 27, a pop icon.

Britney Wants Full Custody Of Her Boys!
Two years ago Britney Spears was practically begging to see her kids and now she's reportedly trying to get full custody because she thinks her boys are picking up bad habits from ex hubby Kevin Federline.
According to the National Inquirer, Britney is going to file papers to become the primary guardian of little Jayden James and Sean Preston.
A source says, "She is ready to fight to get her boys back. Britney feels that leaving Kevin in charge has turned her sons into cursing, ill-mannered little boys who don't behave. Britney wants to be the one who chooses where the boys go to school and where they go to church.
"She wants full custody and for Kevin to have visitation. Britney feels that Kevin is now the one with problems that the judge needs to hear about. She believes he's become a poor role model for Sean and Jayden. The boys are used to Kevin's foul-mouthed, lazy, unemployed dancer friends, who either live at the house or hang out there. Britney doesn't want the boys growing up thinking that kind of lifestyle is acceptable."
Earlier today we found out that K-Fed has been such a slob, he's getting sued for $100,000 for trashing his rented Encino home, that he still owes 6 months of back pay on. Model father all the way.
What do you guys think about Britney getting full custody? She has proved herself as a mother and K-Fed seems more interested in pastrami sandwiches than anything else right now.

Michael Jackson: Britney Won't Last
CNN released quotes yesterday from tapes Jackson recorded with his friend and spiritual adviser, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, between August 2000 and April 2001 and Jackson mentioned Britney, saying:
quote:
"I don't believe that she'll have any great longevity in the public eye because she doesn't understand the power of mystery."
He was quite wrong... She´s still here and she´s here to stay!!!!

The song remindes of Britney's first singel "Womanizer" from the first album CIrcus. The song is is intressting beacause of the melody that fits perfect for the course of the song, they hang together as one.
The Song is so great that Britney even will challange Madonna with this song, hwo allso will reales a greatest hits album in fall.
At the same time they say that the Gap between Britney and Madonna has never been bigger than now.
On Madonnas 10 years at the top,she challanged everyone with her album "Erotica"and photobook "sex".
10 years after Britney's break true Britney realeses Britney her second greatest hit album with the singel"3" that are second best after Madonnas "Celebration"
I think that Britney has worket hard with this song and she will be huge challange to every one and hopefully she will make a big hit with this song,
the sound is something els than before and i don't think that i reminds that much about "Womanizer" it has it own sound, but it is more like Songs from Britney's firts album "baby one more time".

Britney Picks Up A Pet Parakeet
Getting back to her shopping-intensive routine of life back home in Los Angeles, Britney Spears was escorted by her two bodyguards for a shopping session on Wednesday (September 30).
The “Gimme More” singer started things off with a trip to Target before opting to buy a pet parakeet from the California Pet Center in Calabasas.
The visit to Target followed a trip to the popular store the previous day - during which time Brit picked up a few Michael Jackson CDs among other purchases.
Miss Spears just returned back home after finishing up the North American run of Circus shows in Las Vegas this past weekend. Brintey’s bow off duty until November, when she heads to Australia for a string of six shows.

The Reviews Are In: Everybody LOVES '3'
PerezHilton.com:
"She's back! Well, she hadn't really gone anywhere.
Brit Brit just released her new single, 3, off her upcoming singles collection, and….
We instantly like it! Actually, we LOVE it!
The song is damn catchy!"
FemaleFirst.co.uk:
"To be honest, I think this single shows Britters back on top form, and she’s clearly ditched the schoolgirl outfit and moved with the times, okay, so she’s still a popstar who enjoys to go a little OTT on the robot voice, but we love her."
TheProphetBlog.net:
"Wow, if there was ever a song to mark Britney’s 10 years of ruling the pop scene than this is it. The club-heavy ode to group sex that is “3″ contains everything that makes Britney, Britney. It’s a perfect pure pop record!"
TeenToday.co.uk:
"it’s an electropop stomper with some nice surprises including an incredibly epic middle 8 - and a massive dance-y last third that sounds like a throwback to the last few tracks on the Britney album. Infact it’s a bit like the Babes’ Get Sexy‘s slightly better-styled older sister. And whilst at first, the song is quite empty and thin sounding, as it races towards the end, the bass kicks and the song is lifted. "

After The Tour - What's Next For Britney
Author Steve Dennis of 'Britney: Inside The Dream' writes a little piece on his blog titled, "Now What For Britney".
So, after seven months on the road, back and forth between America and Europe, ‘The Circus starring Britney Spears’ played its last show in Vegas at the weekend. There’ll be a one month break and then she’ll tackle a few dates in Oz.
But the grand illusions and apparatus surrounding this circus-like spectacle are packing up from the main run, taking the clowns, the jugglers and trapeze artists with them. And leaving only one giant elephant in the room; the elephant that asks: ‘Where does Britney go from here?’
With the applause in the ears, more millions of dollars banked and a reputation restored, the touring treadmill and relentless performing can no longer be relied upon to leave team Britney, and the performer herself, in a state of denial. For it is now, in the month before Australia’s gigs and thereafter, when she’ll face the true challenge within her comeback; her redemption as a person not a performer.
Within the run-like-clockwork routine of her tour, Britney was returned to the security of the only identity where she feels safe. It’s also a safe bet that she’ll also be working in the studio this next month. Anything to keep Britney occupied within the camp’s pre-occupation with ‘how to keep Britney busy’. But the scrutiny of how well she is doing should start now, and the jury should not reach any unanimous verdicts merely based on the evidence of one successful and effective tour.
It is, admittedly, a huge and encouraging step that she didn’t falter in public. Hats off to her. But it is the next two to six months that will offer a true examination of how far Britney has personally progressed, and whether the conservatorship can release its grip. Because if the conservatorship was truly about her welfare, then it needs to remain in place for the forseeable future, so that the judge can determine how Britney copes with life away from the tour, away from the stage. It is this crucial readjustment that matters now. Fingers crossed that she continues the upward climb.
I, for one, will be applauding some more if we see little of Ms Spears this next month, and that this final quarter of the year is dedicated to a focus on the woman, not the pop princess; on some inner-work and not the projection of outward-images.
Make sure you pick up your copy of "Inside The Dream". In book stores October 1. (USA) I got my copy early thanks to a dear friend from the UK. I just finished reading it, and it was a really good, honest written book in my opinion. Make sure y'all check it out.

[More Added] September 27 - Las Vegas Show [Day 2] Posted on September 29, 2009 by silvana Check out the pictures of the 2nd show in Las Vegas!
After conquering North America with “The Circus Starring Britney Spears,” the pop star closed out seven months of performances with a surprise from Lance Bass on Sunday night in Las Vegas.
“My good friend Lance surprised me on stage last night for ‘Breathe On Me.’” Britney wrote in a blog post on Monday on her Web site. “It was soooo funny! Good to see you Lance!”
During Brit’s 90-minute pop extravaganza at Mandalay Bay, former *NSYNC star Lance Bass, who Britney supported when she was a teen, was brought on stage for a lap dance from the pop star.
According to People, the pop star only addressed the audience one time during the last show, saying, “Hey Vegas, how y’all feeling?”
During Saturday’s Vegas show, teen pop princess Miley Cyrus and Spice Girl Melanie Brown were in attendance.
Britney also made time for her sons Sean Preston, 3, Jayden James, 2, during her Vegas stop. She took her tots to Mirage’s Sugar Factory reportedly dropping thousands of dollars on candy.
“She spent about $3,000 and walked out of the store with 10 bags,” a source told People. “She got a bunch of candy and shirts for her kids and got a bunch of the couture lollipops to give to her backup dancers.”
The source also said the store sent an additional $2,500 in merchandise to her hotel room at the Mirage Villas.
Though Britney has finished the North American leg of her tour, the pop star will take “Circus” to Australia in November.
Song Lyrics "3"
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’
Babe, pick a night
To come out and play
If it’s alright
What do you say?
Merrier the more
Triple fun that way
Twister on the floor
What do you say?
Are – you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing (yeah)
Are – you in
I am countin’!
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’
Three is a charm
Two is not the same
I don’t see the harm
So are you game?
Lets’ make a team
Make ‘em say my name
Lovin’ the extreme
Now are you game?
Are – you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing
Are – you in
I am countin’!
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
What we do is innocent
Just for fun and nothin’ meant
If you don’t like the company
Let’s just do it you and me
You and me…
Or three….
Or four….
- On the floor!

Britney New single "3"
Pic Above Is the cover of the singel
Britney's got a 'Singles Collection' coming out at the end of November and, in customary fashion, it contains a new track that's going to be released as a single. Two of your trusty DS reporters got to listen to it at the end of last week - 18 times, if we recall correctly - so here's what we thought.
1. It's called '3' and it's a Max Martin production.
2. We won't beat around the bush - it's about having a threesome.
3. The chorus, which has more than a hint of the playground chant about it, goes like this: "1-2-3 not only you and me / Got 180 degrees / And I'm caught in between / Counting 1-2-3 feed upon that three / Getting down with repeat / Everybody loves ohhhhh". The "ohhhhh", in case you were wondering, is a classic Britney lusty sigh.
4. Britney makes her intentions very clear elsewhere, telling us "living in sin is the new thing" on the bridge and offering this coaxing couplet on the second verse: "Three is a charm, two's not the same / "I don't see the harm, so are you game?"
5. Enough already with the lyrics! What does '3' sound like? Well, it's uptempo, quite electropoppy on the verses and a little bit ravey on the choruses.
6. '3' would fit better on Circus than Blackout - it's got that slightly cartoony quality that the more recent album sometimes has. The Britney track to which it's most closely related is probably 'If U Seek Amy', though they're more like second cousins who only see each other at family funerals and weddings than brother and sister.
7. The best bit of the song is the middle 8, on which Max Martin cools things down with some synthetic strings, a load of bassy beats kick in and Britters offers her boyfriend a get-out clause: "If you don't like the company / Let's do it just you and me..."
8. ...Before promptly changing her mind by suggesting "or three... or four on the floor". That last bit's pretty clever, because the beats she's singing over at the time could legitimately be classified as "four-on-the-floor".
9. It took us a few plays to fall for '3' - and truth be told it's no 'Gimme More' or 'Womanizer' - but as a fun, fruity newbie to round off a potentially brilliant Singles Collection, it does its job very well indeed.
10. It's premiering on US radio today, so expect to be hearing it very soon. The first UK play, in case you were wondering, will be on Radio 1 this Wednesday afternoon.

Buy Britney’s Blackout Album! It’s Blackout Support Weekend September 25th - 27th
I just came across this and I think it´s worth supporting!
A large Group Of Britney Fans have launched a campaign to ask every Britney fan to re-buy the ‘Blackout’ album.
They feel the album is “Britney’s most underrated CD, and that it never got the credit that it deserved.” I’m sure all of us agree.
This project is near and dear to our hearts. So be sure to buy Blackout During Blackout Support Weekend September 25th - 27th.
Here are some Support Blackout Weekend Q & A…
Q. Why should we do this promotion?
A. The reason for this “Support Blackout Weekend” is to give it a nice boost on the charts, try to give the album the attention that it deserves it’s a great album. And maybe if Jive and Britney’s management realize that we’re so supportive of this great album, they could even certify it platinum! But yeah, We believe that Blackout is in the 950K sold in the U.S. I think, so boosting it past 1,000,000 would be an awesome achievement for Britney fans!
Q. Let me ask you whats our target? Is it possible to make Blackout #1?
A. It’s not really possible to be #1. It could happen. But it’ll most likely just re-enter Billboard 200. According to Billboard, Blackout debuted at #2 and was only on the charts for 1 week, only peaking at #2. So getting it back on any charts then would be AWESOME!
Q.Could I buy it from Ebay?
A. No you need to buy the album from established retailers (itunes, amazon, napster, target, best buy, etc) only. A lot of people will try to buy it from ebay or such sites because it will be cheaper but those sales wont count towards the charts.
* Also buying the album on different transactions will help to make sure each album sale is registered.”
Oh and 1 more thing NO DOWNLOADS Buy Physical Copies!!!!!!!
Buy Blackout Weekend! See it. Buy it. Play it.

Feet on The Ground NOT Britney
Maybe you´ve heard this song "Feet on the ground" and there where rumors that this is Brit (I think every Britney fan must´ve heard it´s definately NOT her because I think it doesn´t sound like Brit at all) here Myah, the singer, clears thing up.
I wrote this song about a year and a half ago… produced by Nick Terranova (Starkillers) and Howie Hersh (look him up, he’s great!)
it was passed along and was ultimately turned down by Britneys’ people for her last album, “Circus”. this has NOTHING to do with me doing background vocals for “circus”
haha im just trying to clear things up, people!
okay, SO we did two different versions, one for Britney, and another for whomever
you can find the “britney version” on youtube or somewhere else..
but i’m posting the version where it sounds more like ME.
BOTH vocals were done by ME and ONLY ME, so theres no confusion.
i just happen to be able to change my voice =]

Perez on Britney
"Well nobody thought she could do it, but after 83 shows Miz Britney Spears has her two FINAL concerts on her North American Circus tour in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay this weekend!
She did it! And she didn’t cancel any performances!
We hear that she won’t be performing again for a VERY long time, so this could be your last chance to catch Brit Brit in action for awhile!
After Vegas the pop princess is heading down under for 6 shows inAustralia and then the tour is ov-ah!
It’s been entertaining to say the least and we LOVED being a part of it!
Sad to see it end, but with her next single, 3, coming out next week we’ll still be able to get our Britney fix!
Congrats on your successful tour, bb!"
I hate him, but at least he wrote something positive...
Can´t belive the tour is almost over.... :(

here´s a video of Alanis followed by Paparazzi and when they question her about Britney covering "You oughta know" she hold her thumb up and said "I love her".
Yay!
