Let’s cut to the Chase... not everyone’s happy about Britney Spears’ rumoured new love.

Backing dancer Chase Benz has apparently been dating Britney for three weeks – and his mother is said to be livid.

His childhood sweetheart, who he is still dating, isn’t too pleased about it either!

Speaking from the family home in Tennessee, his mum Diane told us: “Chase has already got a girlfriend. Her name is Tessa Campbell and she is a fantastic girl. Chase comes back to Tennessee whenever he can to see her.

“They’ve been going out for three years – she’s the same age and they are great together. She’s so sweet.”

We reckon she won’t be so sweet about Britney, who has a history of falling for backing dancers who are still romantically involved with someone else.

She began dating dancer Kevin Federline while he was still seeing the mother of his two children. They eventually married, had two kids and divorced.

According to US reports, Brit and Chase have been dating for three weeks.

They met during her Circus tour in which Britney, 27, dances provocatively with the 21-year-old hunk. A source close to the dancer said: “Britney was all over Chase from the word go. He was determined to keep things professional but Britney has been making it difficult by being extremely suggestive. Chase has been dating Tessa, his childhood sweetheart, for over three years and she is livid about the reports... as is Chase’s mum. Diane has ordered him to stay away from Britney and made it clear she’s not welcome in the family home.”

Time will tell if that’s enough. Sounds like Britney loves the thrill of the Chase...
